Join our Perth HQ, one of WA’s only truly global Tech organisations. Work with the team in Australia and support our other hub/satellite offices, including; Denver (US), Cambridge (UK), France, Sweden and Belgium to deliver the latest in transport technology and innovation.

We are looking for a motivated, technically adept and quality-focused Principal Engineer, keen to make a difference. With your passion for developing software, driving innovation and predictable delivery, you will be a major productivity multiplier for our squads.

You will be working on key strategic products within our portfolio. This includes but is not limited to major enhancements to our Sales platform capabilities, and driving the innovation and new features of our Data Analytics platform.

What will you be responsible for?

• Collaborating across multiple development squads in Perth, France & Slovakia.
• Guiding the teams in developing products that meet the performance, security, and operational needs of our customers.
• Liaising with Vix’s Architecture, Platform, Development and Operations teams to ensure fluid and efficient processes.
• Driving technical innovation and optimisation of the tools, infrastructure and customer solutions.
• Championing the Vix strategy to build and operate SaaS products.

What does our ideal candidate look like?

• Technical background with an understanding of product development and data driven decision making.
• Comfortable working across multiple development languages, including Python, C++ and Java.
• Strong software design experience and ability to architect solutions end to end.
• Experience using AWS services or equivalent cloud technology.
• Strong communication skills to influence problem solve and coach.
• Enjoys working in a flexible and collaborative environment, across multiple time zones.
