Vix is expanding the team to support our growth and provide second-to-none service to our clients. We now have a team on the ground in Edmonton to help support our developing portoflio in Canada and North America.

As Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs. You will also create detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.

What will you be responsible for?

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record and track bugs, monitor debugging process results
• Track quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions

What does our ideal candidate look like?

• Experience in software developement lifecycle and software quality assurance
• Proficient in testing Windows, Linux and mobile platforms
• Hands on experience with both white box and black box testing, and automated testing tools
• Experience with performance and/or security testing
• Experience in configuring, debugging and testing hardware is a plus 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Solid Knowledge of SQL and scripting
