We are now on the lookout for a Business Analyst to join our team in Edmonton. As Business Analyst, you will be critical in ensuring the solution being delivered will satisfy the business needs of the customer and that the solution is in line with the Vix product and commercial strategy. Collaborating with the Solutions Architect and Solution Specialists, you will help define the system requirements and manage the documentation and traceability of the requirements.

Responsibilities

What will you be responsible for?

 

  • Translating customer business requirements into technical system requirements and specifications aligned with the Vix product and service strategy
  • Providing clarification to the customer and system implementers as required
  • Managing the scope of the project throughout the entire lifecycle and leading the customer through the change management process
  • Tracing all requirements through to delivery to the customer
  • Ensuring the delivered systems are aligned with the Vix product and service strategy and thus providing a strong revenue and profit stream for the business

Qualifications

What does our ideal candidate look like?

 

  • Technical expertise in structured business or systems analysis
  • Degree in computer science, business or related discipline
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to work in a proactive manner, using your initiative to source required information
  • Ability to translate often vague customer requirements into precise technical requirements
  • Experience in fare collection and/or payment solutions is highly desirable
