Join our team in the UK and work with industry leaders in one of UK’s most popular Tech hubs. From our Cambridge office, we support our global satellite offices including the UK, USA, Australia, Sweden and Belgium as well as our other additional international project sites.

 

As Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be a pivotal part of our Cloud Operations Team and assist with building, supporting and maintaining global core non-production and production products for all Vix customers on Amazon Web Services. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other regional and global Cloud Operations Engineers and respond to daily operational requests and challenges.

 

At Vix we embrace a flexible environment with working from home options. This position would suit someone from the broader commutable Cambridge area (including London) in order to attend collaboration meetings on an as required basis.

 

What will you be responsible for?

  • Supporting the use of DevOps pipeline for CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery)
  • Participating in the FTS (Follow the Sun) global on-call model utilizing ITSM and Agile best practices
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain global continuity
  • Building positive relationships with Platform Operations and other business units within Vix to support DevOps and other collaborations that may arise
  • Stay current with technology trends and emerging best practices

Qualifications

What does our ideal candidate look like?

 

  • Experience in Technical operations and production environments, containing user data or sensitive information
  • Knowledge of On-premise and Cloud Technologies (server, serverless, managed databases, clusters, networking)
  • Experience in Linux Administration including Command-line interfaces, Unix-like services, logging, and troubleshooting
  • Previous experience working with an ITSM/Agile focused Ticketing tool
  • Experienced in AWS cloud-native management and support
  • Prior experience with transit technology advantageous but not essential
