Vix is expanding the team to support our growth and provide second-to-none service to our clients. We now have a team on the ground in Edmonton to help support our expanding portoflio in Canada and North America.

We're on the hunt for a hands-on, technical minded Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to assist in building, supporting and maintaining global non-production and production core products for all Vix customers on Amazon Web Services. This is a newly created role and a fantastic stepping stone for your career.

• Technical escalations around daily operations, maintenance and production environments security according to ITSM policies.
• Participate in the use of DevOps pipeline and associated practices for Continuous Integration and Delivery at all stages including Test, Release, Deploy and Operate.
• Manage incident escalations and respond to daily operational requests and challenges. 
• Advise and support the Cloud Operations Team to maintain global continuity with a Follow the Sun model using ITSM and Agile best practices.
• Stay current with technology trends and emerging best practices to provide solution proposals.

• Working knowledge of on premises and Cloud Technologies (AWS) such as Infrastructure, Development, Applications, Database, Storage, Cloud, and other market leading technologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of DevSecOps practices and ITSM Frameworks.
• Ability to multitask and work between conflicting priorities
• Demonstrates a customer service approach to their work activities and strives to exceed expectations
