Vix Technology’s Information Security Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Vix technical teams are meeting relevant security standards, passing security audits, maintaining PCI Compliance for customer systems, and otherwise reasonably protecting company and customer data.

Responsibilities

Information Systems Security Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with QSA to conduct annual PCI Compliance Audit
  • Develop, maintain and deliver periodic security audits security reports to our client
  • Operate or oversee managed-services operation of security-specific devices and software (e.g. firewalls, anti-virus, etc)
  • Network and Server design consulting with a security-minded focus
  • Design, develop, document and maintain a complete Security Program
  • Stay current with infosec trends, emerging threats and best practices, tailoring recommendations to our business and our client needs.
  • Maintain customer relations and requirements as set out in applicable commercial arrangements.
  • Perform duties in line with Vix code of conduct.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ information security experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PCI-DSS and best-practice systems security and demonstrable success implementing and maintaining compliant environments.
  • Experience working with QSAs to achieve PCI Compliance
  • Ability to complete PCI SAQ without assistance
  • Prior networking experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver project outcomes within specified parameters including timeframes and objectives
  • Ability to work under limited direction, including experience in planning, prioritizing and organizing work for self and others to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Experience with network scanning tools
  • Experience with centralized logging tools
  • Network design, VLANs, routing, NAT
  • Cisco networking equipment, firewalls
  • CISSP or equivalent SANS certification.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment when working with sensitive information
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement and innovation opportunities in processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ability to be on-call 24/7
  • Experience being Incident Commander during an active incident
  • Ability to write policies and procedures

 

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Certified QSA (even if not current) and conducting PCI Compliance audits
  • Amazon Web Services experience or certification
  • Experience with Windows servers, Linux
  • Experience supporting site-to-site VPNs
  • Working knowledge of GDPR
