Role Overview:


The Information Security Analyst Operations Analyst is responsible to ensure the Vix technical teams are meeting relevant security standards, passing security audits and reasonably protecting company and customer data. They are the first point of contact for esponding to security incidents. The role sits within the UK Governance, Risk and Compliance Team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to security events
  • Operate or oversee managed-services operation of security-specific devices and software (e.g. firewalls, anti-virus, etc)
  • Operate & maintain security controls, identify potential security risks affecting systems in scope and propose adequate treatment plans
  • Liaise with “Follow the Sun” Security Operations Centre colleagues to progress and resolve incidents globally
  • Enforce compliance to recognised standards, such as PCI-DSS, ISO27001
  • Review and update security program documentation (Policies and Procedures)
  • Stay current with infosec trends, emerging threats and best practices, tailoring recommendations to our business and customer needs
  • Support customer relations and requirements as set out in applicable commercial arrangements
  • Perform duties in line with Vix Code of Conduct
  • Assist with audits
  • Provide advice to colleagues, bid and technical teams
  • Produce digital keys and security access modules
  • Produce Security KPI's and metrics


Key Skills:

  • Ability to identify continuous improvement and innovation opportunities in processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Confident in your abilities and be able to translate for others

Key Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience in Information Security
  • Networking and infrastructure experience
  • Sound judgment when working with sensitive information
  • Experience with application/device security monitoring, (i.e Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-Virus)
  • Experience with SIEM tools & Vulnerability Management (AlienVault, Nessus, Qualys)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver project outcomes within specified parameters including timeframes and objectives
  • Ability to work under limited direction, including experience in planning, prioritizing and organizing work for self and others to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Experience with Windows servers & Linux
  • Experience with network scanning tools
  • Experience with centralized logging tools
  • Network infrastructure (Cisco ideally)
  • Understanding of PKI
